According to Bungie, the guards who already know Destiny 2 on PS4 and Xbox One can rejoice to play the game on the next generation consoles when they exit. Bungie did not reveal too much detail, but they consulted their official Twitter page to make the announcement of the next generation. Although Destiny 3 has not been announced, it was disclosed and it could be in the early stages of development, so a new generation port of Destiny 2 rings like a good buffer for now. Destiny 2 is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC now, with Season of the Worthy recently bringing new content to the game.

Bungie developers have recently visited their official Twitter page to announce: "Destiny 2 will be on new generation platforms! More details to come... to quote Lord Shaxx: "YaaaAssssSS!" Although this does not give us a lot of details on which to work, it will be interesting to see which features can be part of the new generation ports or maybe new content. Will finally be added to the Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles as the cross-gen title age. While Destiny 2 has proud look on current technology, we look forward to seeing how bungie can improve visuals, loading times, image frequencies, etc.

While PlayStation fans may have to buy the new generation of Destiny 2 equivalent, we hope to see the X-Series smart delivery badge on the Xbox Series X title, offering Fans of Destiny 2 a game one day when they upgrade the consoles. No release date was announced for the new generation ports of Destiny 2, but it would not be surprising that either around the 2020 holiday output window to match the output of the Xbox Series X and PS5.
